Consumer Protection Act
The Consumer Protection Act is an Indian law governing how goods and services are marketed and how consumer rights are protected. AppleCare+ is fundamentally a consumer-facing service (extended warranty/protection). While the Consumer Protection Act is not device-specific, it can materially affect AppleCare+ through requirements around accurate disclosure of coverage terms, pricing, refunds/cancellation handling, marketing claims (e.g., what is or isn’t covered), and how disputes are handled if services are denied or not honored.
